Getting ready for your first visit:
Floating is very simple, but we do make some simple recommendations to make your first float the most relaxing time.
Avoid shaving, waxing, tanning or anything that would cause the skin to be sensitive.
You will find a small Vaseline pack in each room to cover any small scratches and abrasions from the burning sensation salt can cause.
Hair color must be "100% set" before you are able to float, this avoids costly damage to our pristine water system. In other words, your shower water is running completely clear. Please reschedule if it is not set.
Caffeine tends to keep the mind and body in a "busy" state taking away from total relaxation. It is best to avoid all caffeine at least 4 hours prior to any float.
An empty stomach and a loud stomach can rob you of the joy of deep relaxation so grab a light snack prior to your session.
New clients need to arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled float. (Those who arrive late will need to reschedule-this is to avoid disturbing those floating in silence, all our floats start simultaneously so we don’t interrupt the silence in our facility.
Females experiencing their menstrual cycle the day of their float must reschedule-Thank you.
Not much! But here are a few more tips to make it great.
With over 5,000 lbs of salt in solution in our facility (It's like going to the salt mines) odds are you may leave with a bit of our salt. We recommend wearing something comfortable and easy to get in and out of and not your best dress.
Most of our clients shower and get in nude for the greatest experience. Each room has its own shower and is completely private. Whatever you feel most comfortable is your choice though so feel free to bring a swimsuit if you prefer.
Those under the influence of alcohol and drugs are not allowed to float.
All you need are flip flops and the desire to relax and if needed a brush or comb.
You will find shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, Q-tips and towels in your room.
